Multiplayer God of War? Are they trying to get people fired from their jobs?
My theory on GOW multiplayer is Sony basically forced Santa Monica Studios to add it in because:
- it will then require an online pass, to try and thwart used games and/or at least get a little extra revenue from used games (see Uncharted 3, Killzone 3, Resistance 3, ect)
- to try capitalize on DLC sales by adding new multiplayer content such as new maps and game modes at a later time
I really hope they don't lose focus on the main single player story or cut it short because of the added multiplayer. I will reserve judgement until the final product comes out, but as someone who doesn't play online multiplayer much and loves GOW, I am skeptical to say the least.
It's looking like it will be the same movie rehashed for the sequel except maybe the exwife gets taken along with the daughter.
He used a very particular set of skills to kill the villains in the first movie. In the sequel, the relatives of the dead bad guys are gunning for revenge which makes Bryan Mills reach for his set of skills a second time (and maybe make a phone call to warn the second wave of baddies that he is in possession of a very particular set of skills- which they'll ignore).

That could potentially be awesome or shit. I so hope it is going to be awesome.
Agreed. Looks cool, but could suck big time. Hopefully it'll be fresh at least. I'm getting tired of MW3.
Some of the stuff I read about it said there will be a big focus on single player, and the ability to alter the story depending on the choices made. There is also multiple black ops side missions that you can do and can't complete all of them in one play through, which will add replay-ability.
And zombies will be back.
I didn't get MW3 because I was burned out on the same old COD, but some of these details are making me want to get this (BLOPS has been my favorite COD to date too).

MW3 is all about who can blow the most stuff up or who can find the best hiding spot. It's getting boring. Even playing Kill Confirmed (a good attempt to end camping) still has some ass hat hiding in some random corner being "tactical".
Also the shotguns are BS. If your within MW3's shotgun range and they get a shot off you're dead every time and the range on them is unbelievable.
Oh and don't get me started on the worthless flash bang grenades, they're garbage
.
I can't wait for this now. The Guy Pearce TED viral apparently links with one of the characters not seen in the trailer and the Space Jockeys/ pilots aren't what they seem to be. Has the potential to match the original scare-for-scare, which means another generation of tramatized kids allowed to stay up late and get a bedtime story they'll never forget.

Yeah. About time we got some R-rated mature sci-fi. I'll keep mum on what the Space Jockeys are but it fits in with the whole previsitation vibe of the trailer. There's a clue there, but it's a spoiler. Prometheus may also lead to a separate franchise.
